About Me

A different approach to Sound Therapy

ound therapy is offered in many ways — the most common are group sessions where several people share an hour of relaxation. But private therapy is different. It is deeper, more personal, and far less accessible.

That’s why I created Soundtopia — Sound Therapy by Vanda Zita Szuromi: a space dedicated exclusively to individual therapies in Conkal, Yucatán.

My Journey

I am originally from Hungary, and my path led me to study with renowned international teachers and institutes, such as the Sound Healing Academy and Don Conreaux, pioneer of the Gong. I am also a certified Reiki Master and Access Bars facilitator.

These trainings gave me a broad foundation, but my focus has always been clear: to explore the true therapeutic potential of sound. Not as a performance. Not as spirituality. But as a practical tool, informed by science, for transformation.

Through years of working with groups, I witnessed both the potential and the limits. Some people simply cannot fully let go in a group setting. Others need deeper support than what a collective environment can provide.

That is why I chose to dedicate myself to private therapies. Here, sound adapts to your body, your needs, and your responses in real time. It is designed for people ready to experience more than relaxation — people who want to discover how far sound can go in supporting their health and balance.

This is a therapeutic space unlike most. If you are ready for more than just a group experience, you are in the right place.

What is Sound Therapy?

Sound therapy is a therapeutic method that uses vibration and resonance to influence how the body and mind function. Every organ, every cell, even the brain responds to sound. Through instruments such as gongs, crystal bowls, monochords, and therapeutic harps, sound therapy offers vibrations that travel through the air, tissues, and fluids of the body, helping to restore balance on multiple levels.

This is not entertainment or simple relaxation — it is a process that involves the nervous system, brain activity, and even cellular responses.

Benefits of Sound Therapy

Relieves stress and emotional overload

Reduces muscle and joint tension

Promotes emotional balance and resilience

Improves sleep quality and cycles

Enhances focus, clarity, and mental calm

Non-invasive, safe, and restorative

Why Individual Sessions?

Most people discover sound therapy through group sessions. They are a gentle introduction — anyone can join, and they offer a pleasant experience of relaxation. But an individual therapy is something different. It is not for everyone. It is for those who are ready to go deeper:

01.

Face silence without distractions.

02.

Experience sound that responds directly to your body.

03.

Open yourself to the possibility of profound change.

In a private session, you enter an exclusive space where everything is attuned to you — your needs, your responses, your healing process.

This is not about entertainment. It is about being truly seen, supported, and accompanied, with sound as a therapeutic tool.

- Scientific Basis -

The effects of sound therapy have physiological support.

Nervous System Regulation

Sound reduces “fight-or-flight” responses and activates the parasympathetic state — the body’s natural repair mode.

Hormonal and Emotional Balance

Calming sound has been shown to reduce cortisol (the stress hormone) and support the release of endorphins and oxytocin, which foster well-being, safety, and connection.

Resonance in the Body

Vibrations travel through tissues and fluids, gently stimulating circulation, reducing muscle tension, and promoting physical relaxation.

Brain Entrainment

Harmonic and repetitive sounds help the brain shift into slower wave states (alpha, theta, delta). These states are associated with meditation, creativity, deep relaxation, and restorative sleep.

Cellular Response

At the microscopic level, cells and fluids react to vibration. While research is ongoing, studies suggest that sound may influence cellular function, fascia relaxation, and even support the immune system.

- Voices of Experience -

“The best way to understand sound therapy is through those who have experienced it. Here are some reflections clients have shared after their sessions.”

VALERIA, 29

Injury recovery

For years, I couldn’t lie on my back without pain. In my very first session, I was able to stay comfortable the entire time… and the pain just vanished. I walked out in disbelief.

SOFIA, 36

Chronic pain relief

I hadn’t slept well in months. As soon as the session began, I fell into the deepest sleep I’ve had in years. For me, sound therapy has been the only doorway to true rest.

GRABIEL, 45

My son Pablo is 24 years old and lives with Asperger’s. Anxiety overwhelmed him every day, and social situations were very difficult. These private sessions gave him a safe and comfortable space — and after only four sessions, he was visibly calmer and more at peace with his life.
